This module is about safeguarding young people.
You probably have a safeguarding policy in place as an organization and/or you have certain safeguarding practices. The negative things that can happen to young people may not be on your mind.
Creating a safe and welcoming environment, where everyone is respected and valued, is at the heart of safeguarding. It's about making sure your organization is run in a way that actively prevents harm, harassment, bullying, abuse and neglect. It's also about being ready to respond safely and well if there is a problem. Everyone in the organization has a role to play in safeguarding. It should become part of your day to day activities.

Having to learn everything I did and making use of it to impact the lives of young people
This course has been really impactful. i have learnt ways to safeguard young people and i believe this can be applied to safeguard the vulnerable groups in the society such as the physically and visually impaired.
this was very new to me, so I need to get more information on the topic
I recently completed the Safeguarding Young People course, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The content was not only comprehensive but also delivered with great clarity and relevance. The instructors demonstrated a deep understanding of the subject matter and were adept at communicating complex concepts in an accessible manner.
The course covered a wide range of topics, from recognizing signs of abuse to understanding legal and ethical considerations in safeguarding. The inclusion of real-life case studies and practical scenarios enhanced my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.
One notable aspect was the emphasis on creating a safe and supportive environment for young people. The course not only focused on identifying risks but also provided valuable insights into preventive measures and intervention strategies.
