If you’ve not been able to tick YES all of the above questions, then your organization/school/business has some work to do to ensure the protection of every child and young person. The measures you need to make sure are in place are there to protect all children and young people from abuse, harm and neglect.
  • It can be incredibly difficult for a young people to feel comfortable enough to come forward with details of abuse, so you need to make sure the procedure you have is as comforting and effective as possible.


  • All procedures should be communicated to all members of staff so that whatever the situation, a young person can receive the vital support they need.
