Because Dance4Life and PPAG's highest priority is to safeguard young people from harm, we will only collaborate with organizations if they agree with the principles and standards of PPAG on safeguarding children and young people.
Safeguarding is an ongoing learning journey for both of us!
When you have signed an agreement with us, expect that you and your colleagues and organization have familiarized yourself with the Policy and Toolkit and that you make sure you have similar safeguarding policies, procedures and practices in place. This does not mean you have to adopt PPAG or Dance4Life's policy and toolkit (although you're free to use/copy the content). If you have your own policy and follow similar principles and standards, that's perfectly fine too!
On the next slides you can find a checklist for your safeguarding policies, procedures and practices. It can be a helpful tool to assess whether there are any gaps — either at policy or implementation level or at the level of awareness among employees - so that we can become even better at safeguarding! To provide a broad picture, we recommend letting several colleagues answer these questions or to discuss them together beforehand.
